Your favorite FFXI area
What is your favorite area from Final Fantasy XI?
Feel free to include the why. I love reading stories people have about them. You don’t have to have a reason why, just tell me!
This is not related to anything, nope not at all, I’m not doing a thing. Don’t give me that look. *shifty eyes*
i know you don’t know me, but i love following your art and reminiscing about FFXI, so i figured why not :)
zi’tah - i pretty much never played with game music on (i was usually on vent while playing), but now that i’ve stopped playing i really wish i had appreciated the music then as i do now. the first time my LS leader took me to zi’tah, she said “if you’re going to turn your music on for any zone, do it in this one” and she was right. the scenery is beautiful, and i have many memories of farming lesser gaylas and running around the OP to (fail to) outsmart the goblins whose pets i often killed for EXP.
la theine - love the scenery and the carby rainbow. my first memory was seeing the ground rumble, being like wtf was that?, then dying to a ram.
sea - beautiful zone, and reaching it had such a sense of accomplishment after getting through CoP with a group of LS friends.
attohwa chasm - the only reason why this is on my list is because it’s where i met my now-boyfriend while we were camping against each other for sekhmet. he had me at “now let’s go get you a joyeuse.”
i wish i had noticed all the small details in the environment when i played XI. it’s only been 3 months since i stopped, but i miss it. i usually don’t have the patience to sit through a 10 minute video, but this one was worth it.
this one is for my boyfriend’s birthday next thursday! he doesn’t know about it, but he requested a birthday drawing on his wish list, which i thought was cute.
his favorite animal is the wolf, and mine is the rabbit. i got this idea from a random picture i found on google images when i was looking at wolf pictures to get references. it was basically a wolf’s silhouette howling at the moon, and i thought it was a neat idea that was more creative than just drawing a wolf (and also was a cop out for me to not have to draw and color the details <_<). i decided to put the rabbit in the moon because of the legends and also as a representation of myself. the birthday hat and balloons were just for fun :)
i know i haven’t posted drawings in forever, which is because the only times i really draw now are for birthdays (mainly family). i feel too busy to draw just for fun, but birthdays are an excuse for me to bust out the wacom tablet.
this one was for my sister’s birthday a few months ago. i’m most comfortable drawing animals because i can’t draw humans, even cartoon ones. her favorite animal is the pig because that’s her chinese zodiac.
anyway, this is what i drew her. something simple but fun, and it was exciting to get to color outside the lines!

GO GO GO REBLOG REBLOG REBLOG
i normally don’t like/reblog things, but i thought that this was something that deserved the attention if it works the way they say it does.
my thoughts are with everyone affected by the earthquake and tsunami, from japan to the west coast.

just a little note
i know i don’t really post much. i’ve been busy with school lately, so sadly i haven’t even touched my wacom tablet in who knows how long.
i never comment on anyone’s drawings/posts because if i posted on one and not another, i’d feel bad :X but just know that i love seeing all of your art! everyone is so talented ^^ and even though i’ve probably never talked to you (except sora), i randomly stalk your deviantart and stuff to see all the pretty artwork <_< i’m creepy, i know!
thanks for following me in spite of it though :P
*edit* i will trade you brownies for art! or cookies! i’m not really serious but maybe i am…
i made this awhile ago but forgot to post it. it’s my first attempt at sculpting since probably elementary school - based off my poroggo drawing, made for the bf <3
a poroggo casanova trying to woo his way into the heart of his poroggo madame, complete with a love chocolate and water lily (they are frogs, after all)!
this was my first time using SAI, and i loved it! i really really like how it smooths out lines because mine have always been shaky. i also like the color tools, although i still have to learn how to use them and blend properly. this is definitely my favorite drawing so far, both to work on and the final product!
and just for kicks, a screenshot from XI when shev (on level 50 thf) and i were camping dune widow. he accidentally aggroed a cactuar, so of course guess who came running by? MPK!!
